Italy Around
Town...
In an effort to promote the Italian culture and "everything
Italian," we have compiled a listing of some organizations, events,
classes, and otherwise culturally-related activities that are happening
in and around the Treasure Valley.
If you would like more information on the specifics of the organizations and/or
events listed, click on the links below to be connected to the appropriate
websites.
Do you know
of an Italian-related event or activity going on in the Treasure Valley?
You don't see it listed below? Please email the information
to any Board member for IAC Board consideration.*
*(Due to limited space, and taking into consideration
the mission statement of our club, all events, organizations, classes,
or activities must in some way promote or enhance the awareness of the
Italian culture.)

Please note: The Italian Recipes page
has changed. We are now presenting a listing of those recipes we
have on file in a listing for you to choose from.

Italian Language Instruction

IAC has been contacted by
Giustina, the owner of "Studio
Italiano."
She offers the following:
"I am an Italian citizen who has been living in Boise for the last 7 years. I taught Italian for over 5 years for Berlitz Language Center. I now teach Italian privately through my own company, Studio Italiano. I have a well-developed curriculum that will take you from beginner to an advanced speaker."

Ballet Idaho
As many of you know, the IAC cooperated in a joint
venture with Ballet Idaho in the summer of 2010 with an all Italian evening of food
and dance. It was a huge success from many perspectives. They
kindly sent a 'thank you' letter which you can read by clicking on:

it provides theater arts programming to school curricula, it has outreach programs such as its Drama School,
Summer Camps, and apprentice programs. Contact the Idaho Shakespeare Festival for more information and to
have one of their speakers address your group.

The
IAC is looking into volunteering as group organization to the 2009 Idaho
Shakespeare Festival. If you like Shakespeare and the arts, then why
not join other IAC members for an evening of theater while volunteering at
the Festival? The Festival offers volunteers a unique experience and
gives this brief description of what volunteers do:
The Festival relies on volunteers to assist Festival management in
the front of house each evening throughout the summer. Under the
direction of the House Manager, volunteers help with ushering,
hospitality and information, and general cleaning of the theater
before and after a performance.
- Corporate and civic groups volunteer to fill positions on a
specific evening. It's a great team-building event.

description of what to expect if you volunteer for service to The
